Goodna STP with a capacity of 90,000 EP is located on the Lower Cross Street, Goodna, QLD. The old Plant was running of its capacity and not meeting DEHP Discharge Licence requirements in 2011.
QUU carried out the upgrade works for this STP under its Critical Portfolio Works Program (CPWP) by adapting a new technology: Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) plant which was constructed next to the operational old plant, the project had to meet very tight time frames due to existing plant’s non-compliances with the DERM Licence and must finish within an allocated project budget of $110M.
WSE was commissioned by QUU as their specialised design review consultant to provide specialised electrical, mechanical and civil engineering services during detail design, construction support, site inspections, testing and commissioning support for this project to ensure client’s requirements are met.
WSE prepared Works and Services Specifications (WSS) to engage Thiess contractors for the supply and construction of the new MBR Plant in accordance with the Australian Standards and QUU’s requirements.
