WSE was engaged by GRC in March 2021 to carry out detail of Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, PLC/SCADA Controls and Instrumentation design, preparation of scope of works, technical specifications, tender documentation, assist in tender analysis/award and then provide technical support during construction for the Gladstone WWTP New Inlet Distribution Chamber and Process Water Upgrade project. Previously several consultants were engaged but they failed to meet Council’s expectations and the project scope expanded unnecessarily with huge capital and design costs. WSE since its engagement, has achieved significant cost savings by using innovative ideas shared by Council’s stakeholders and is on track to meet the project deadlines for design completion to enable Council to call for tenders in 2021-2022 financial year.
