Kalbar Water Treatment Plant Upgrade Detailed Design.
WSE in association with SMEC, provided consultancy services for the detailed design development of major upgrade works for the Kalbar potable water treatment plant for Seqwater.
The works included the detailed design development for the upgrade to the existing potable water treatment plant, inclusive of the following scope:
- Alum dosing system upgrade
- New sodium hypochlorite dosing system
- New caustic dosing system
- Provision of a bulk chemical unloading area
- Solids handling plant, including sludge thickener, poly dosing system
- Field equipment, instrumentation and control system design to facilitate automatic backwashing of the existing sand filters
- Control system design and SCADA interface with the remote raw water pump station
- Commissioning and Handover
